Motorists are being warned of light works in Mernda commencing today that will affect traffic.
In a post to the City of Whittlesea Facebook page, the council announced that works will get underway from Monday, January 17 to install traffic lights at the intersection of Bridge Inn Road and Sackville Street in Mernda.
According to the council, the works will “improve safety for motorists and pedestrians”.
Bridge Inn Road will remain open, but there will be no entry or exit to and from Sackville Street via Bridge Inn Road during the works, the council said.
A local detour will be provided via Heddle Street and Wellington Street.
The works are expected to be completed by the end of March.
