Calling all gardeners. Hume council, Craigieburn Community Garden and Sustainability Gardening Victoria will be hosting a companion planting workshop next month.
The workshop will show gardeners how to use companion plants to improve the health and productivity of your garden and to manage pests and diseases.
Learn how companion plants can be used to attract the good bugs, manage the bad bugs, increase soil health, and improve the productivity of your garden.
Topics covered include the principles of companion planting, how companion plants work as decoys, camouflage, pest repellents and disease suppressants, good companions versus bad, and encouraging beneficial insects with food and shelter,
The workshop is at Craigieburn Community Garden, Hamilton Street, Craigieburn on Saturday, August 13, 10am-noon.
