Latest COVID-19 data for Hume, Whittlesea

The number of new COVID-19 cases recorded in Hume and Whittlesea has decreased, although the municipalities remain in the top five local government areas (LGAs) for new cases, new data reveals.

Both LGAs recorded over 600 new cases of the virus in the last 24 hours to Monday, January 17, according to the data.

Hume recorded 640 new cases, bringing the active number of cases to 6200, while Whittlesea recorded 626 new cases, bringing the number of active cases to 5506.

Hume postcode 3064 – which includes Craigieburn, Donnybrook, Kalkallo, Mickleham, and Roxburgh Park – remains the most infected Hume postcode with 315 new cases recorded today.

It is the second highest increase in the state.

Wyndham postcode 3029 recorded the highest increase in active cases today, with 366 new cases recorded today.
