Lalor woman celebrates win

A Lalor woman received the shock of her life when her parents rang her to tell her she had won $1.25 million in TattsLotto.

Having left her ticket at her parents place, it was her parents who gave her the good news that she was one of 16 winners from the February 11 draw.

“I’m shaking with excitement,” she cheered.

“I received a phone call from my parents on the weekend about my TattsLotto entry. The ticket was at their house, so they decided to check it for me.

“They told me that line six came up with all the winning numbers needed to win division one.

“I started to cry, and I nearly wet my pants! My mum couldn’t even get out of her chair – she felt too dizzy.

“I always grab a 12-game QuickPick and a System 8 entry in Saturday Lotto. I’m so glad I’ve kept persisting.”

The woman said that the prize would allow her to live mortgage-free.

Her ticket was purchased at Lalor Lucky Lotto.

While the Lalor woman is celebrating her win, someone who purchased their ticket at Dallas News & Lotto is none the wiser they are a millionaire.

Owner Heather Luo said she couldn’t believe it when she found out her outlet had sold a division one winning entry worth more than one-million-dollars.

“This is the first time we’ve sold a division one with a prize over a million dollars, so we’re ecstatic! I couldn’t believe it when I first found out,” she said.

“We’ve started to put up some decorations to celebrate this occasion and share the winning news with all of our customers. We’ve put a bowl of chocolates at the front counter to share the joy!

“Our customers are super excited for us. A lot of them are surprised and rushing in to check their TattsLotto tickets to see if they’re the mystery winner.
