Kindergarteners on the big jobs

The construction crews working on the Bridge Inn Road upgrade team visited kindergartens in Doreen on Monday to tell them all about the projects happening in the area.

The community involvement program included a talk from an engineer on how roads are made and allowed the kinder kids to get up close with a bright green telehandler.

MCM Early Years Hub Centre manager Amy Matson said the children had a great time and were incredibly grateful to Major Road Projects Victoria for showing them the machinery they drive past on the way to the centre.

“The children have had a great time, it’s a great educational experience and they were so excited to get their little vests and little good bags, it’s a great experience for them,” Ms Matson said

Bridge Road Inn is being upgraded between Plenty and Yan Yean roads to improve safety.

Foundations for a bridge over Plenty River will be put in place in the coming weeks, while major earthworks along Bridge Inn Road will also take place.
