An Epping man is among those charged with stealing kegs from Melbourne inner suburbs.

Police executed search warrants at a property on Phillip Street, Dallas on Friday, February 23, where about 60 kegs were located.

A 32-year-old Epping man has been charged with one count of theft and one count of trespass and has been bailed to appear in Broadmeadows Magistrates’ Court on August 8.

The charges are part of an extensive investigation, after a significant quantity of empty kegs were allegedly stolen from premises across Melbourne’s inner suburbs over the past five months.

Investigators conducted a number of inspections of metal recycling facilities in Melbourne where it’s alleged many kegs may have been sold to.

A 34-year-old man and a 49-year-old Oak Park woman were also charged and will face court in August.
