Hume residents are being urged to keep work safety in mind as part of a new campaign designed to tackle complacency.
WorkSafe’s ‘Let’s Put 2021 Safety Behind Us’ is a nationwide initiative that will reminding everyone to keep safety front of mind, even as the holiday season approaches.
According to the campaign, workplaces should confirm they have adequate COVID-19 measures in place and up-to-date safety signage.
WorkSafe Executive director of health and safety Narelle Beer said employer should also take note of their staff’s mental health.
“A positive work environment is particularly important during the festive season, where staff may be feeling overwhelmed by a surge in consumer demand and increased workloads,” she said.
