Kangan Institute named large training Provider of the year.

The Kangan Institute has taken out this year’s Victoria’s Large Training Provider of the year award.

Announced at the Victorian Training Awards gala on Saturday, September 10, Kangan Institute chief executive Sally Curtain said the win is a privilege.

The institute shared the award with its sister institute, Bendigo TAFE.

“This award is an absolute credit to our dedicated and committed staff at Kangan Institute and

Bendigo TAFE who put students at the centre of everything we do,” Ms Curtain said.

The award means that Kangan will now represent Victoria at the 2022 Australian Training Awards to be held in Adelaide in November.

Kangan was also a finalist for Inclusive Training Provider of the Year and automotive student Madison Giordano was named a finalist for Apprentice of the Year at the Victorian awards.

The Kangan Institute’s Broadmeadows campus has recently undergone a facelift with a new trades and skills centre, and veterinary clinics that opened in 2021.

The Broadmeadows campus will also have a new health and community centre of excellence scheduled to open in 2024.

The last few years have brought a mountain of challenges for the institute meaning it had to adapt to provide an education with COVID-19 restrictions in place.

Ms Curtain said they overcame these difficult challenges and ensured students had the ability to thrive in their education.

“By continuously evolving our campuses to incorporate best-in-class training facilities, we are

able to meet the aspirations of our students and provide them with an exceptional learning

experience,” she said.
