Greenvale Primary School enjoys Italian week

Greenvale Primary School was a sea of green, white and red when the school enjoyed its Italian week.

Pupils, including Siena and Ada (pictured), donned clothes in the colours of the Italian flag and tried making fresh pasta for the annual celebration of all things Italian.

Teacher Eleonora Schembri said the school had been celebrating Italian culture for the past three years, giving pupils a chance to reinforce what they learn in Italian language classes.

All the school’s 814 pupils learn Italian for three terms of the year.

In the past, pupils have watched plays and sampled pizza and gelati as part of the Italian Week fun.
