The City of Whittlesea received $600,000 to help with development and planning.

A total of 80 projects across Australia will receive funding under the federal government’s housing support program.

The funding will be put towards infrastructure that supports housing growth, such as roads and amenities like parks, footpaths and public spaces.

McEwen MP Rob Mitchell, said the program is going to help infrastructure planning.

“It’s a critical part of the government’s plan to work with states and territories to help them meet the ambitious national target to build 1.2 million well-located new homes,” he said.
