Illegal tint leads to bust

A vehicle in Robxburgh Park was stopped for an illegal tint, but there was more to the story.

Just after 7am on Friday, January 26, police observed a black Volkswagen sedan travelling north in Roxburgh Park with an illegal level of tint.

Checks of the 36-year-old female driver from Craigieburn revealed that her probationary licence was suspended.

The female also returned a positive oral fluid test for methamphetamine.

The vehicle was impounded for 30 days at a cost of $1042.40 and a defect notice was issued to the vehicle.

The driver will be charged in summons for driving whilst suspended, drug driving, driving an unroadworthy vehicle, and not displaying P-plates.
