Roslyn Wai has been appointed as Hume council interim chief executive following the resignation of long-serving chief executive Domenic Isola.
After 13 years in the position Mr Isola has resigned to “explore new opportunities”.
Hume mayor Cr Joseph Haweil said Ms Wai is an experienced leader who shares the council’s passion for delivering positive outcomes for the community.
“Roslyn is a highly regarded senior executive, with strong experience in delivering organisational strategy, stakeholder engagement and people management,” Mr Haweil said.
“The council has great confidence in Roslyn to lead the organisation through this interim period, and with support from the executive management team, will continue to deliver stable and consistent management of Hume City Council until a permanent appointment is made.
“As our communities recover and reconnect from the impacts of COVID-19, council will continue to deliver the critical services, programs and projects our growing community needs and seize opportunities to accelerate economic recovery of businesses, employment and local investment.”
Prior to joining council, Ms Wai was executive general manager strategy and governance (corporate secretary) with Coliban Water. She has a master of business administration and master of arts (professional communication), is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and an Associate Member of the Governance Institute of Australia.
