Hume Freeway, O’Herns Road bridge closure

The Hume Freeway and O’Herns Road bridge will be closed from tomorrow until Monday, August 23.

The freeway and bridge will close in both directions between Craigieburn Road and the M80 Ring Road from 8pm Friday, August 20 until 5am Monday, August 23 while works on the O’Herns Road upgrade take place.

Detours will be available via the Hume Highway, Sydney Road, Edgars Road and Mahoneys Road.

Crews will complete drainage, asphalting, line marking and barrier works for stage two of the project during the closures.

The project will deliver the duplication of O’Herns Road between Hume Freeway and Redding Rise, three new traffic light intersections, a new interchange at the Hume Freeway and extra lanes on the freeway between O’Herns Road and Cooper Street.
