Hume Freeway exit to M80 Ring Road closed

The exit from the Hume Freeway to the M80 Ring Road is closed due to a truck rollover.

The exit from city-bound lanes of the Hume Freeway to the Greensborough-bound lanes of the M80 are affected.

The Department of Transport have advised motorists to avoid the inbound lanes of the Hume Freeway, and instead use Sydney Road.

The exit to Altona-bound lanes of the M80 Ring Road remains open, however congestion is building quickly on the approach, the department said.

According to the department, the closure is under the control of emergency services, and all lanes will open as soon as it is safe to do so.

The department said the VicRoads signals team is monitoring conditions and will adjust traffic lights on surrounding roads to minimise delays.

Real-time traffic conditions are available online or via the VicTraffic mobile app.
