House alight in Broadmeadows

A Broadmeadows home caught fire early on Thursday morning.

On Thursday, June 6, about 12.24am, Fire Rescue Victoria crews arrived at the Girgarre Street address to get things under control.

A total of 23 firefighters came to the scene, to find the single storey 10m x 15m brick veneer home totally involved by fire, and the situation was made safe within 30 minutes.

The cause of the fire was lithium batteries on charge in the lounge area.
