After a year-long hiatus, VicRoads has announced that six-digit heritage plates will be returning for a limited release on July 30.
It’s the first time six-digit heritage plates have been available since July 2023.
Orders were put on pause after just three days due to the unprecedented demand.
Heritage plates are replicas of the first ever number plates issued in Victoria in the 1930s and are only available in the original number combinations, which were between 100.000 and 285.000 – meaning there is a very limited amount available, which is largely what makes them so appealing to collectors.
In anticipation of the upcoming release, a preview of the available plates has been provided to inspire interest.
Some of the available combinations include: 100.055, 100.077, 110.001, 191.100, 200.021 and 255.225.
