Whittlesea residents are being encouraged to have their say on next year’s council budget and Community Plan Action Plan.
Council is asking the community for feedback on what it should prioritise in the budget via a survey on its website.
Administrator Peita Duncan said council wanted to hear from the community well before it started its Budget and Community Plan Action Plan process.
“We want to have clear insight into local priorities to help us shape the conversation around what should be our priorities in 2023-24,” she said.
“We know our community outlined their key priorities back when we developed the Community Plan 2021-2025 but much has changed since then.
“We want to know that we’re on track and that we are giving our community the chance to help shape their local area.”
Ms Duncan said the insights gleaned would inform the development of the 2023-24 budget, the 2023-24 Community Plan Action Plan as well as other key plans and strategies council is developing.
The first stage of consultation closes on September 4.
