Greenvale pair arrested for drug trafficking

A 27-year-old Greenvale man has been charged and a 28-year-old Greenvale woman questioned on suspicion of trafficking of drugs via domestic mail.

Police executed a search warrant at a property on Rifure Court, Greenvale on September 12.

A significant search of the Greenvale property was undertaken with police seizing about 14 kilograms of drugs believed to be MDMA, four firearms, ammunition, a large amount of cash, pill presses and a range of drug packaging and equipment.

Two Rolex watches and three luxury vehicles with a combined value of more than $300,000 were also seized from the house, including a 2016 Holden HSV GTS, a 2016 Mercedes Benz AMG GT S and a 2010 Mercedes Benz AMG C63.

The investigation commenced last month after police received information about suspicious items being sent via domestic mail.

The man was subsequently charged with trafficking large commercial quantities of MDMA and firearms offences. He was remanded in custody to face Melbourne Magistrates’ Court.

The woman was released pending further inquiries.
