Fire danger period announced for Hume, Whittlesea

The Fire Danger Period (FDP) is set to begin across the Country Fire Authority (CFA) district that includes Hume and Whittlesea.

According to the CFA, the commencement of the FDP is determined on existing and predicted conditions that lead to increased fire risk.

The CFA has advised that the FDP will begin on Monday, December 20 at 1am.

In a statement, the CFA said the FDP will remain in place for the district until May 1, 2022, unless stated otherwise.
