A fire has erupted at the Emerald Reception Centre in Thomastown
Fire crews responded to the fire on Settlement Road following a large number of calls about 6am this morning.
The building was 30 metres by 40 metres in size and is fully involved with 30 firefighters on scene.
The fire was still active as of 8am.
Settlement Road is blocked in both directions. Residents in Thomastown, Bundoora and Reservoir have been warned they may see or smell smoke.
Ambulance Victoria and police are on scene.
