UPDATE

A 23-year-old Echuca man, alleged to have been driving a stolen car, has been charged following a collision in Tullamarine early Sunday morning.

Craigieburn police charged the man with numerous offences, including theft of a motor vehicle, reckless conduct endangering life, driving in a dangerous manner and driving at a dangerous speed.

He was remanded in custody to appear at Broadmeadows magistrates court on Monday.

Police allege that the man drove a stolen Ford Falcon through a red traffic light on Mickleham Road at the Tullamarine Freeway on-ramp just before 1.30am on Sunday, colliding with a Mercedes and Holden utility.

A 30-year-old Epping woman and a 37-year-old Mickleham woman, who were travelling in the Mercedes, were taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Two girls in the Mercedes received treatment for non-life threatening injuries.

The driver of the Holden utility, a 21-year-old Greenvale man, did not need treatment.

The Echuca man was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
