An Epping man’s licence has been suspended and his car impounded after alleged erratic driving on Sunday.
Mill Park police said officers responded after a number of calls to triple-0 about the 40-year-old Epping man’s driving on Sherbourne Road about 6.30pm on December 19.
It was reported that he was on the wrong side of the road and crashing into gutters before he was located in a driveway on Manor House Drive.
Police said the man was allegedly four times over the alcohol limit, and had travelled from Templestowe after attending Christmas party drinks.
The man was taken to a police station where he submitted an evidentiary breath test reading of 0.225, according to police.
His licence was suspended, and his car impounded for 30 days.
It is expected the man will be charged on summons in relation to drink driving and other traffic offences.
Police said the impound forms part of Operation Roadwise, a statewide road policing operation during the high-risk Christmas period.
Police are targeting impaired driving, speed, distraction and fatigue in high-risk areas throughout metropolitan Melbourne and regional Victoria.
Operation Roadwise runs until 11.59pm Sunday, December 26.
