Embracing all bodies

A South Morang personal trainer is on a mission to help new mums feel confident about their post-baby bodies.

Anita Guerra is one of 19 trainers from Australia and New Zealand who will be running a free No More Pre-baby Body training session on Saturday, October 19.

The session is designed to encourage women to embrace their post-baby body and help them feel strong and confident.

Ms Guerra, who runs Fit For 2, said she aimed to empower women.

“I have been there and it’s time to change our perception to create a healthy mindset and strong body with confidence so our kids grow up in a positive environment, as well as reduce the chances of postnatal depression,” she said.

“As a midwife, I know what women are going through and I want to support them to know it’s OK to take time for themselves.

“My goal is to change the pressure women feel to get their pre-baby body back.”

The training sessions will be held at the Riverside Community Centre, South Morang from 3-5pm.
