A 36-year-old Doreen man has died after being stabbed in Thomastown last night.
Detectives were called to a Victoria Drive address about 8.40pm on July 11 after reports that a man had been stabbed.
Police arrested a 45-year-old Glenroy man at the scene and he remains in custody.
Medical assistance was provided to the victim, however the man died at the scene.
As police begin their investigation this appears to be a targeted attack and there seems to be a second person in relation to the death that police are still searching for.
Detectives are eager to speak to anyone in the area who may have CCTV or dash-cam footage.
