Donnybrook Road, Yan Yean will be closed between Epping Road and Plenty Road from 10am Monday, August 22 to 5am Tuesday, August 23 for bridge maintenance works.
The Department of Transport said motorists should follow the signed detours in place using Epping Road, Bridge Inn Road and Plenty Road.
During this time, crews will be undertaking asphalt resurfacing and strengthening of the bridge deck over Barbers Creek.
Motorists are reminded to drive to the conditions and observe the reduced speed limits for their own safety and the safety of workers, the department said.
