The Cat Protection Society of Victoria is calling for donations in honour of the late, great Betty White.
The organisation runs the largest cat shelter in the state, based in Victoria’s northern suburbs.
Television personality Betty White, a known animal lover, died a few weeks shy of her 100th birthday on December 31, 2021.
In honour of what would have been her 100th birthday, the shelter is asking people to participate in the #BettyWhiteChallenge, and $5 in White’s name on Monday, January 17.
“Your donation will help ensure we can provide the highest levels of care and re-home even more cats and kittens in need in the year ahead whilst honouring and celebrating the life of Betty White,” the organisation said in a Facebook post.
“We would be incredibly grateful if you chose to donate to The Cat Protection Society of Victoria as part of the #bettywhitechallenge.”
Donations can be made online.
