Craigieburn man celebrates half a million TattsLotto win

A Craigieburn man has won nearly $600,000 after finally discovering his division one prize win.

The man held one of the nine division one winning entries in TattsLotto drawn Saturday. Each division one winning entry scored $582,463.60.

The man initially rejected calls from lottery officials who were attempting to confirm his win, before realising his life changing win.

“I thought someone was trying to scam me. But I’ve checked the ticket myself and can see I’ve won,” he said

“Now I’ve got no mortgage. Straight away, I’m going to pay off the mortgage, then… freedom.

“I picked these numbers a while ago and just stuck with them. I’ve been playing for a very long time.

“I’m going to celebrate today. I can’t believe it, I might even retire.”

His winning entry was purchased online.

Across Australia, there were nine division one winning entries, three in Victoria and Western Australia, two in New South Wales, and one in Queensland.
