Craigieburn is leading the charge for solar panel installations, according to Yuroke MP Ros Spence.
In a post to her Facebook page, Ms Spence announced that Craigieburn was second in the number of solar panel installations in Melbourne.
It is part of a state government push for renewable energy.
“Victoria is racing towards its renewable energy target with the help of Victorian Households and our community is leading the charge,” Ms Spence said in the post.
“Craigieburn has the second most solar panel installations anywhere in Melbourne, with households installing panels to help with the energy bills, create lots of jobs and do our bit for the environment.”
There are rebates available for households to help Victorians save on their energy bills and tackle climate change.
