Craigieburn fire ‘suspicious’

Police are leading an investigation into a suspicious fire at a cafe on Elevation Boulevard in Craigieburn in the early hours of Tuesday 4 November.

Fire Rescue Victoria (FRV) crews quickly gained entry to the shop following reports of a fire about 5.15am and had the fire under control by 6.09am.

FRV crews remained on the scene for several hours after the blaze had occurred in an attempt to ensure there were no hidden hotspots around the property.

The incident was referred to Victoria police for investigation due to possible suspicious circumstances.

Ambulance also responded to the fire, but no injuries were reported.
