Fans will flock to Whittlesea next month for the town’s country music festival.
The two-day event will feature performances by Frankie J Holden and Wilbur Wilde, James Blundell, A Taste of Tamworth, Travis Sinclair and Kinglake’s Carter and Carter.
Whittlesea Country Music Festival’s vice-president David Watson said the event caters for locals, visitors, families and music fans of all ages.
“It’s a fantastic free day out for the whole family, and a great opportunity for us to show charming Whittlesea to the rest of Victoria,” he said,
The festival kicks off on Friday, February 10, with a free launch party at Whittlesea Bowls Club, where James Blundell and up and coming artist Mitch King will perform.
The festival’s main day of entertainment will be on February 11, starting at 10am in Church Street, with bush poets, horse-and-cart rides, street buskers and children’s activities.
A free twilight concert will be held at the Whittlesea cricket grounds from 4pm.
