The cause of a house fire in Coolaroo last night is under investigation.
Fire Rescue Victoria (FRV) crews were called to the Barry Road blaze at 8.34pm.
Firefighters arrived to find the front of the single story brick house well alight, FRV said.
Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus entered the building and used hose lines to attack the fire and stop it spreading to the rest of the home, FRV said.
The front section of the house sustained significant damage in the fire.
FRV said one occupant sustained smoke inhalation and was treated by paramedics.
Crews took 22 minutes to bring the fire under control.
