More than 20 Merrifield residents did they part to clean up the Mickleham community during a clean up event on Sunday, March 13.

The community-led event, which was supported by Merrifield developers, MAB, is held yearly.

Merrifield resident Sal Sharma said the event was a great way for people to meet locals with similar interests.

“The real beauty of it all is that we make new friends each time, plus we keep our surroundings clean.

“The day helps create a lot of awareness and makes us feel proud to give back to the community we live in.

“It’s great to live in a community where the developer cares about the community and promotes positive wellbeing for the locals.”

MAB community and stakeholder engagement manager Tennille Bradley-Ow said it was fantastic to see so many residents involved in the clean-up day.

“Community pride is something we have worked hard to encourage and promote since the first Merrifield residents arrived seven years ago. We look forward to seeing this event continue to grow into the future with many more Merrifield locals jumping on-board.”
