Craigieburn Eagles basketball players will pull on special pink and blue uniforms this weekend to show their support for cancer patients.

As part of the annual cancer round, the Craigieburn Basketball Association has planned a range of activities throughout  the weekend – including raffles, a barbecue, a colour run and a pop-up Sunday market – to raise money for the Northern Health Foundation.

Association spokesman Blake Dickinson said that in the past, the association had used the weekend to raise awareness of breast and prostate cancer, but this year it wanted to raise awareness of all cancers.

The round will begin on Saturday at 6pm with a senior doubleheader against Wallan, followed by the youth games on Sunday from noon.
