The circus is coming to Craigieburn.

The Circus Royale’s 50th anniversary tour will be in town at Craigieburn Central until Sunday, May 16.

Owner and ringmaster Damian Syred said the group is excited to return to the centre.

“After being closed for 12 months due to COVID restrictions, it’s great to be back on the road performing,” he said.

“While we were closed, we had so many inquiries from Craigieburn locals asking when we would be returning – so it’s great to be back.”

Families can come along to see a two-hour performance of contortion, clowning, juggling, Russian swing, acrobatics and much more.

The dare devilish Lion Brothers will perform on the wheel of steel, the globe of death and the high wire.

Centre manager Christine McDonnell said having the circus back was very welcome.

“After a challenging 2020 for our community, we’re thrilled to be bringing back this family favourite to central,” Ms McDonnell said.

“We hope to see the circus bring people together while providing safe entertainment that will delight and captivate audiences of all ages.”
