Mernda sisters Shanra and Aria Clemmet are heading to Hawaii next month to take on some of the world’s best cheerleaders at the Global Dance and Cheer Games.
Shanra, 14, and Aria, 12, who have been cheerleading for three years with Southern Cross Cheerleading in Northcote, will represent Australia as part of a team of about 20 at the competition, which begins on June 10.
To help them get to Hawaii, the girls are hoping to raise $12,000.
So far, they’ve raised $6000 through pamper days, trivia nights and selling chocolate.
