A 26-year-old Craigieburn woman who allegedly drove drunk is expected to be charged following a near miss head-on collision with a police car in Yan Yean on Saturday.

Police allege that a grey Holden Cruze sedan veered onto the wrong side of Plenty Road, narrowly missing a police car about 2am.

Police officers quickly pulled over the vehicle.

Epping police are expected to charge the woman on summons with dangerous driving, drink driving, and other driving offences.

The alleged driver accompanied officers to a police station and then allegedly refused to perform a breath test.
