The Whittlesea Chinese Association will celebrate the Mooncake Festival on Saturday, September 3.
A celebration of thanksgiving, prosperity and family reunion., the festival is traditionally a harvest festival with origins in moon worship, the making and sharing of mooncakes is symbolic of harmony and familial unity. Make and light a beautiful lantern, join the parade, light some incense and feast on a myriad of exotic mooncakes at this grand event.
It’s from 7-9pm at May Road Senior Citizens Centre, 2b May Road, Lalor
