The surf’s up at Urbnsurf, with the Tullamarine park opening its doors to the public last week.

The $28 million surf park near Melbourne Airport opened on January 6 after two months of testing to achieve the perfect waves.

The park is the first of its kind in the southern hemisphere.

Urbnsurf founder Andrew Ross said the park has been seven years in the making.

He said the park strived to make surfing easier and more accessible by providing sage, convenient and reliable breaks that create perfect waves day and night.

“Whether it’s learning how to stand up on a board for the first time, or pulling in to challenging barrels without having to travel for hours or be at the mercy of the elements,

Urbnsurf Melbourne is set to become a new hub for the Victorian surf community and a must-visit destination for locals and tourists alike,” he said.

Urbnsurf features multiple surfing zones, accommodation beginners, experienced surfers and everyone in between.
