Jingle Bells the Whittlesea Carols by Candlelight is still going ahead but in an entirely different way.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the carols have gone online with technology bringing everyone’s voices and faces together.

Hosted by resident MCs Jim and Barb direct from their living room in Wollert, the night will include all your favourite songs in a brand new way.

More than 350 video submissions have been made, more than the 200 expected, with many people who normally wouldn’t get involved getting behind this year’s event due to being able to participate from home

Harpist Michael Johnson, Didgeridoo player and Kuku Nyunkal man Sean Ryan and a community choir will all have recordings shown on the night.

There will also be a special message from Santa from the North Pole.

The Carols 2020 is live streaming on Friday night from 7.30pm.
