A street light on Interlink Drive, Craigieburn has upended out of the ground and landed on a woman’s car this morning.

Just after 10.30am the light fell from its erection point on the lane dividing nature strip adjacent to the new Craigieburn Station car park, landing on the bonnet of the north travelling car.

It is believed the driver was not injured in the incident.

Three witnesses assisted in moving the street light on the road.

A witness described hearing a loud bang and said “it’s a miracle no one was hurt.”

Police are in attendance.
