Car crashes into Wollert produce store

Police are appealing for information after a car crashed into a store in Wollert.

Emergency services were called to the Epping Road store about midnight following reports an allegedly stolen Toyota RAV4 had crashed through the front of a produce store.

Witnesses told police three people exited the vehicle and the store caught fire.

The occupants of the SUV were last seen heading south on Epping Road.

Fire crews brought the blaze under control.

Anyone who witnessed the incident or with dash cam footage is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
