Police have arrested a man in Campbellfield following a stabbing on the afternoon of Monday October 2.
Investigators have been told two men were involved in a verbal altercation in Scammel Street at about 1.30pm.
The incident escalated into a physical altercation and one of the men was stabbed.
It appears the parties are known to each other.
The injured man was transported to hospital with life threatening injuries.
The perpetrator, aged in his 50s, was arrested at the scene and is assisting Hume Crime Investigation Unit with their ongoing investigation.
