Callea heads Hume carols by candlelight line-up

The countdown is on to this year’s Hume Carols by Candlelight, which will be hosted by ARIA award-winning singer Anthony Callea.

The carols will be held at the new Craigieburn Anzac Park on Saturday, December 3.

Mayor Drew Jessop says a bumper crowd of more than 10,000 people is expected.

“This promises to be our biggest and best carols yet,” he said.

“I’m looking forward to seeing Craigieburn Anzac Park full of families on Saturday night, enjoying the wonderful music, food and free entertainment.”

Callea will be joined by performers including The Jingle Bells, Aydan Calafiore, the Naturally Cool Big Band, The Divine Divas of Sunbury, Victoria K and Melissa Defina.

There will also be performances by community groups and locals schools, including the Willmott Park Primary School choir.

Children’s entertainment will include jumping castles, an animal farm and special visit from Santa and Mrs Claus.

The family fun activities start at 5pm, with the carols from 7pm. The event will close with a fireworks show at 9.30pm.
