Business awards nominations open

Nominations are open for the third annual City of Whittlesea Business Awards which celebrate the excellent talent and innovation of thr business community.

The awards provide a platform for entrepreneurs, innovators, and hardworking operators across the municipality to showcase their successes and contributions to the community and industry.

The awards are open exclusively for members of the City of Whittlesea Business Network to self-nominate and will be judged by an independent panel.

In addition to the seven judged awards—Start Up, Customer Service, Innovation and Enterprise, Sustainability and Environment, Community Contribution, Workplace Diversity and Small Business—one business will be awarded the City of Whittlesea Business of the Year.

Deputy mayor Councillor Daniela Zinni said the awards recognised the commitment from local businesses.

“These awards shine a spotlight on the hard work and achievements of our local businesses, showcasing the best of what the City of Whittlesea has to offer,” she said.

“Nominate your business and let’s come together to celebrate your success and the vital role businesses play in our community.”

Nominations for the awards close 5pm on Friday, March 7. All finalists will be announced on April 1, with winners celebrated at a gala awards evening on May 29 at the Plenty Ranges Arts and Convention Centre in South Morang.
