Buses will replace trains on some sections of the Mernda line this week.
Train stations at Bell and Preston will be demolished as part of level crossing removal works.
Track maintenance will also be conducted along the line, resulting in travel changes for passengers and for those driving around Preston.
Buses will be replacing trains between Parliament/Clifton Hill and Reservoir from 9pm Wednesday, May 5 until 3am Wednesday, May 12.
Replacement buses will be stopping at stations along the Mernda line.
