Bronwyn Halfpenny to be re-elected in Thomastown

Bronwyn Halfpenny will be re-elected in the Thomastown electorate.

The Labor MP had secured 52 per cent of first preference votes as of Sunday, with 71 per cent of votes counted.

Ms Halfpenny was leading Liberal candidate Gurdawar Singh 66.63 per cent to 33.37 per cent on a two-party-preferred basis.

Ms Halfpenny has represented Thomastown in state Parliament since 2010.
