A Broadmeadows woman is now a millionaire after taking out TattsLotto top prize.

The woman was one of eight division one winners garnering $1.25 million each from the Saturday night draw.

The woman received a call from her husband on Sunday morning that she initially thought was bad news.

“I was out and about, and I received a phone call from my husband,” she said

“Before I could even say anything to him, he said, ‘I’m shaking! I’m shaking!’.

“I responded with, ‘What’s wrong with you? Are you sick?’.

“My mind immediately thought something was wrong.”

The life changing win didn’t sink in until talking with lottery officials who confirmed the results.

“I thought he was joking, and I didn’t believe it. I usually don’t win anything! I just kept saying, ‘Don’t be silly!’,” she said.

“I’ve been playing for a very long time. I just don’t know how we got so lucky.”

She said a portion of her winnings would go into the bank for a rainy day and the rest to her nearest and dearest.

“I’ll bank some of it. Then I’ll give some to my family,” she said.

“It’s wonderful.”

The winning ticket was purchased at the Lucky Lotto at Broadmeadows Town Centre.

Across Australia, there were eight division one winning entries in the draw.
