Broadmeadows winner takes home $300,000

A Broadmeadows Instant Scratch-Its player has become $300,000 richer after purchasing a winner ticket.

The player purchased the $20 Big Cash Game Instant Scratch-Its ticket at the Broadmeadows Nextra Lotto & News.

The Broadmeadows Nextra Lotto & News team was thrilled for the winner and wished them all the best with the top prize.

The Lott spokesperson Ally Ramsamy said while the winner wished to remain anonymous, they would be enjoying the new windfall.

“What an excellent instant surprise for our winner,” she said.

“While we don’t know how our winner will enjoy their prize, we have no doubt they will be smiling from ear to ear, knowing their bank balance will balloon by a few extra digits.

“No matter how they enjoy their prize, we’re sure it will make the year bigger and brighter.”

In 2021, there were 157 Instant Scratch-Its top prize winners across The Lott’s jurisdictions, who collectively took home more than $10 million in top prizes.

During this same time, Instant Scratch-Its players enjoyed more than 29.1 million wins across all prize tiers worth more than $256.26 million.

This equated to almost three quarters of a million dollars won on Instant Scratch-Its every day.

In 2021, more than 130 million winners took home more than $3.79 billion in prize money from their favourite games at The Lott, including TattsLotto, Monday & Wednesday Lotto, Powerball, Oz Lotto, Set for Life, Lucky Lotteries, Keno, Super 66, Lotto Strike and Instant Scratch-Its.
