A 20-year-old man has been charged following an alleged sexual assault in Broadmeadows on Monday, April 18.
The man was arrested just after 3pm on Tuesday, April 19, in Meadow Heights.
He was charged with five counts of rape, false imprisonment, intentionally causing injury, and making a threat to kill and committing indictable offence while on bail.
The charges follow an incident in Broadmeadows shortly after midnight on Monday, April 18, in which a woman was allegedly sexually and seriously physically assaulted inside a property on Railway Crescent.
