Shoppers at Broadmeadows Central shopping centre can add booking a COVID-19 vaccine to their list of tasks this week.

The federal government has set up a pop-up kiosk encouraging and supporting people to book their COVID-19 vaccination appointments.

The kiosk at Broadmeadows Central is located opposite All Class Apparel and will run until Sunday.

Senator Jane Hume said the aim of the kiosks is to help senior Australians and those from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, book in for their vaccinations.

“Staff help people check their eligibility and then book an appointment,” she said.

“They are also for people who are time-poor, have questions about eligibility, the booking process or are looking for general information on the COVID-19 vaccines.”

Registered nurses and translators are at the kiosks to help with information and translating information.

People can check their eligibility and book an appointment at australia.gov.au.
